Scandinavia is planning its bid to stage the 2008 European Championships after talks in Stockholm.

The joint hosting by Belgium and Holland of this summer's event has prompted negotiations among the Scandinavian federations and agreement is near.

Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden would all contribute venues and infrastructure to mount a joint bid which will be lodged with European governing body UEFA.
