Real Madrid are to add AS Monaco star Constinha to their squad next year.
The Portuguese international scored the late header that carried Portugal into the Euro 2000 quarter finals and his contract with the French champions ends on 30th June next year.
Costinha will play one more season in the Monaco midfield but wants a move to Real; despite talks by the Monaco club to sell him to Celta Vigo or Real Zaragoza. Costinha's decision means he can move for free next summer under the Bosman ruling with Real to sort out his contract terms at the end of this year.
