France look likely to be without midfielder Christophe Dugarry for their Euro 2000 semi final against Portugal on Wednesday night.
The Bordeaux player broke his nose in an aerial collision with Michel Salgado as he attempted to head the ball in a 2-1 win for France at Bruges in the quarter final.
Dugarry shed blood from his nose throughout the game and needed a bandage in his nostrils to continue playing in the game.
The fracture has now been set but Dugarry is unlikely to be considered for the Portugal match if there are any complications.
France also have continuing injury worries over Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit who has been struggling with a knee injury and is a doubtful for the semi final.
