Belgium start to create nucleus for Euro 2000

There were no surprises from Belgian coach Robert Waseige in his twenty man squad to face fellow Euro 200 hosts Holland in Brussels next week.

The pair drew 5-5 in a game last September but Waseige is now working towards forming a unit to credibly challenge in June so a repeat of that unusual and bad tempered game is unlikely. Belgium have only two games left before the finals start on June 10th.

Goalkeepers - De Wilde and Gaspercic.

Defenders - Deflandre, Brocken, Staelens, Peeters, Van Meir and Philippe Leonard.

Midfielders - Verheyen, Mpenza, Clement, Vanderhaeghe, Wilmots, Baseggio, Goor and Boffin.
