Italy will not pair Inzaghis against Spain

Italy coach Dino Zoff has told reporters that the Inzaghi brothers will not be playing together in the friendly against Spain on Wednesday.

There had been speculation that Juventus forward Filipo Inzaghi and his younger brother Simone would be paired in attack with the brothers playing in their first ever game together.

Elder brother Filippo is an established member of the squad and is likely to play alongside Juventus team mate Alessandro Del Piero on Wednesday. Simone was called into the squad after several good recent performances for SS Lazio after Internazionale star Christian Vieri suffered an injury at the weekend.

Zoff told press men at La Trigoria that AS Roma's Francesco Totti would be in contention to play alongside Del Piero with Filippo Inzaghi in attack.
