Bruges sign Slovenian goalkeeper

First Published: May 25, 2000

Bruges have signed Slovenian goalkeeper Dejan Nemec on a five year contract.

Nemec was named on Monday in his country's squad for Euro 2000 and is effectively the third choice goalkeeper.

The 24 year old has agreed the transfer from Mura Murska Sobota for an undisclosed fee and he is regarded as a good prospect by the Slovenian coaches. He has good reflexes and runs his penalty area well but is not set to be a starter for the Belgian club next season. He has yet to play a match for Slovenia either.
