9 Galatasary stars named by Turks for Euro 2000
First Published: May 30, 2000Turkey have named nine Galatasary players in theirr squad for Euro 200.
The UEFA Cup winners from Istanbul saw all but two of their first team called up for the tourament next month. Leicester City midfielder Mustapha Izzet has been included after taking Turkish citizenship earlier in the year to qualify for the international team
The squad in full -
Goalkeepers - Recber, Tuncay and Catkic.
Defenders - Fatih Akyel, Hakan Unsal, Alpay Ozalan, Ogun Temizkanoglu and Osman Ozkoylu.
Midfielders - Umit Davala, Okan Buruk, Ergun Penbe, Sergen Yalcin, Suat Kaya, Abdullah Ercan, Ayhan Akman, Tayfur Havutcu, Tugay Kerimoglu, Tayfun Korkut and Mustafa Izzet.
Strikers - Sukur, Arif and Oktay.
