Romania announce Euro 2000 squad

Romania have announced their squad for Euro 2000.

Two notable veterans return to the line up with goalkeeper Florin Prunea and defender Miodrag Belodedici both winning inclusions.

Romania face Germmany, England and Portugal in Group A from June 10th.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Bogdan Stelea (Salamanca), Bogdan Lobont (Ajax Amsterdam) and Florin Prunea (Universitatea Craiova).

Defenders - Cosmin Contra (Alaves), Gheorghe Popescu (Galatasaray), Miodrag Belodedici (Steaua Bucharest), Liviu Ciobotariu (Standard Liege), Iulian Filipescu (Real Betis) and Cristian Chivu (Ajax Amsterdam);

Midfielders - Dan Petrescu (Chelsea), Florentin Petre (Dinamo Bucharest), Gheorghe Hagi (Galatasaray), Constantin Galca (Espanyol), Catalin Haldan (Dinamo Bucharest), Eric Linkar (Steaua Bucharest), Dorinel Munteanu (VfL Wolfsbrug), Ionut Lupescu (Dinamo Bucharest) and Laurentiu Rosu (Steaua Bucharest).

Strikers - Adrain Ile (Valencia), Ionel Ganea (VfB Stuttgart), Adrian Mutu (Internazionale) and Viorel Moldovan (Fenerbahce).
