Austria 1 Sweden 1

Wet conditions made for a poor spectacle in Graz as both teams struggled to impress in driving rain.

At half time a conference of the three match officials and the UEFA observer almost cancelled the game with Austria winning 1-0 but it continued to a damp finish that saw Sweden recover to draw the match.

Thomas Floegel put the home side in front in the 17th minute with a long range shot but Jorgen Pettersson hit a low drive across the turf to earn a draw for the Swedes with only moments left in this scrappy match.
