France striker David Trezeguet exults after his second half strike levelled the match at 2-2 with Croatia. It was his 29th goal in 53 matches playing for France and takes his side a step closer to a quarter-final place.

Dado Prso wheels away in delight after his volley put Croatia 2-1 up against holders France in a thriller in Leira on Thursday. David Trezeguet scored a second half equaliser for France as the two sides finished 2-2.

France keeper Fabian Barthez who saved a David Beckham penalty in his side's opener was helpless on Thursday as Croatia's Milan Rapaic converted his spotkick to level the match at 1-1. The match finished 2-2 to keep alive both team's chances of reaching the quarter-finals.

Euro favourites France were in action again on Thursday taking on Croatia in Leiria. Here Patrick Vieira (R) and Mickael Silvestre set off in pursuit of Croatia's Tomislav Sokota. An entertaining fixture finished 2-2 while England beat the Swiss 3-0 earlier in the day.

France captain Marcel Desailly leans in to head the ball away from Croatia's Dado Prso. The Chelsea defender was at fault on the second Croatia goal failing to clear that gave Prso the chance to volley into the roof of the goal. The match is currently level at 2-2.

Wayne Rooney, 18, restored a little pride to England, bruised by their defeat to France, when he became the Euro's youngest ever scorer on Thurday firing home two goals in a 3-0 win.
