A wonder goal from Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 85th minute salvaged a point against Italy in a match that finished 1-1. Italy are now in danger of elimination even if they win their last match against Bulgaria. Sweden and Denmark are in strong positions while Bulgaria are out.

Euphoria for Sweden as Marcus Allback chases Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has just flicked in a delightful equaliser in the 85th minute against Italy. The match finished 1-1 leaving Sweden in pole position going into the last round of matches while Italy are in dire straits. Denmark beat Bulgaria 2-0 earlier in the day.

Worth the wait

Italy got their first goal of the tournament late in the first-half against Sweden when Antonio Cassano stooped to glance a header past 'keeper Andreas Isaksson. It wasn't enough as Sweden battled back to force a 1-1 draw.

Italians finally had reason to celebrate after 37 minutes against Sweden when Antonio Cassano guided a deft header home to spark joyous scenes amidst players and fans. Here Alessandro Del Piero and Simone Perrotta get in on the fun but Sweden had the last laugh with an 85th minute equaliser.

Sweden 'keeper Andreas Isaksson was a busy man on Friday but won this battle against Italy's Christian Vieri. Italy held a 1-0 first-half lead thanks to a header from Antonio Cassano. Sweden snatched a point with a goal in the 85th minute.

There were plenty of spills on Friday as Italy and Sweden came head to head in Porto. Late in the second half, a header from Antonio Cassano had Italy 1-0 in front but Sweden forced a late goal to grab a point. Here Alessandro Nesta gets in the way of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

This Italian fan seems to be feeling the pressure as his side desperately need a result against Sweden to maintain optimism to reach the knockout phase. Earlier Denmark eased past Bulgaria 2-0 as the Scandinavian presence is felt at Euro 2004.

Breakthrough

After sustained first-half pressure, Jon Dahl Tomasson finally opened the scoring for Denmark just before the break. The industrious Danes then wrapped up a 2-0 win with a late Jesper Gronkjaer strike knocking Bulgaria out of the competition.

Denmark's Jesper Gronkjaer tries to squeeze a cross past two Bulgarian defenders in Group C action on Friday. The lively winger scored a 92nd minute goal to wrap up a 2-0 win and boost their chances of reaching the knock-out phase.
