Pavel Nedved set Milan Baros' second goal up with a fine through ball and then chased after him to celebrate what they were then certain was a place in the semi-final against Greece. They held on for a memorable 3-0 win over a handy Denmark side.

Denmark's coach Morten Olsen can head home with a clear concsience after leading his side into the quarter-finals. the Danes were one of the surprises of the Euro, but their run ended with a 3-0 mauling by the Czech Republic.

Denmark 'keeper Thomas Sorensen was angry after the Czech Republic striker Jan Koller was given the space to open a 1-0 lead in their quarter-final on Sunday. The Czech's won 3-0.

The Czech Republic will expect star player Pavel Nedved to come up with the goods in the second half of their quarter-final against Denmark on Sunday after the first one ended in a 0-0 stalemate. Nedved is the 2003 ballon d'or, or European footballer of the year.
