English Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur have closed in on their major summer target - Luc Nilis who will star for Belgium at the World Cup this summer.
Spurs have tracked Nilis for the last three months and are willing to meet the £5 million evealuation of PSV Eindhoven for the striker to replace Jurgen Klinsmann.
Nilis is unhappy with Eindhoven's transfer policy which means a significant weakening of the team for the coming season as owners Philips try and recoup some of their investment in the club.
