Moeller Nielsen agrees to coach Israel

Israel have appointed Richard Moeller Nielsen as their new national team coach.

A month of talks were concluded today with the 62 year old former Denmark and Finland coach who takes over from Shlomo Scharf on a two year contract to try and guide Israel to their first major finals since the Mexico 1970 World Cup. Israel start the qualifying campaign for the 2002 World Cup next August.
