Oman have broken off talks with former Dutch international star Ruud Krol over pay demands made by Krol to take over the Omani national team.
Oman had been in intermittent talks with Krol for the past six weeks and had hoped that Krol would compromise his pay demands to accept a two year contract to guide the team through World Cup qualifying. Oman will now go back to other candidates with a view to bringing in a new coach by February.
