Montpellier want to sign Collymore

Montpellier have been in talks with Aston Villa to sign striker Stan Collymore.

A loan deal to take the former England player to Hearts has come to nothing and Villa manager John Gregory has refused any chance for the £7 million signing from Liverpool to revive his career at the Birmingham club.

Montpellier have been talking to Collymore today and showing him their ground and facilities with a view to signing him on loan until the summer.
