Blatter defends World Cup revision in latest address

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has again raised the issue of a World Cup every two years in his end of year editorial message in 'FIFA News'.

The world governing body is working towards harmonising all international fixture lists for 2005 and then to introduce a biennial World Cup under Blatter's plans for the game.

The editorial in the organisation's official publication defends the controversial idea.
