Nakata favours AC Milan option

Perugia star Hidetoshi Nakata is reluctant to sign for AS Roma as the capital club prepare a bid for the Japanese international.

Nakata would prefer a move to AC Milan with the Italian transfer season opening again next week for seven days but Roma had a renewed bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Brazilian Emerson rejected yesterday and have targeted Nakata as another option.

Parma AC are also in contention to sign the midfielder but Milan are favourites to add him to their squad and massively boost their Asian profile.
