Vasco complete $13 million Edmundo return

Vasco da Gama have completed the signing of Fiorentina striker Edmundo.

The Brazilian star returns to the club he top scored for two seasons ago in a $13 million move but he has to continue his legal fight against a prison sentence for manslaughter after a car he was driving killed two people in a collision at the end of 1997 on a visit to Rio.

Edmundo had long been expected to make the return to Vasco and now looks set to end his controversial career there with a five year deal to play for the club he fired to the national championship two years ago.
