Ronaldo in new injury scare

Ronaldo has been injured again and is set to withdraw from the Brazilian squad to face Holland two friendlies at the start of next month.

The 23 year old may now miss the Copa America in Paraguay at the end of June if the injury needs treatment more extensive than rest.

The Internazionale striker damaged leg muscles in a collision during Inter's 2-1 defeat against Bologna last night that ends their hopes of automatic qualification for next season's UEFA Cup and leaves the club considering a last chance attempt to make it into Europe through participation in the Inter Toto cup.

Ronaldo has been dogged by knee problems throughout this season and his advisers have been considering a move to London in the summer for possible surgery on what has now become a long term problem with the muscle in the joint.

Brazil play Holland on June 5th and 8th as part of their build up for the Copa America.
