Ginola has offer to leave Villa for Portsmouth

David Ginola has an offer to quit Aston Villa and join Portsmouth.

New Portsmouth director of football Harry Redknapp has made the offer for the former Tottenham star who has spent one unsuccessful year at Villa on massive wages.

Those wages could prove a serious block on any move but the £4 million offer by the first division club may tempt Villa to sell.

Ginola was voted player of the year in England two seasons ago but has had problems with Villa's management since he clashed with the former coaching regime at Tottenham and quit London.
