Rangers look to sign Latapy
First Published: Jun 28, 2001Glasgow Rangers may sign Trinidad midfielder Russell Latapy.
The player was fired by Edinburgh club Hibernian before the end of last season after he failed to report to training and is a close friend of Manchester United's Dwight Yorke.
Latapy had already turned down the chance to sign a new contract with Hibs and missed their Scottish Cup final appearance after his row with the club.
Now Latapy has started talks with Rangers to join them on a four year contract.
