Gray keeps Southampton job

Southampton have confirmed first team coach Stuart Gray as their new manager.,

The Premiership club were linked with several senior names in English football after Glenn Hoddle qui the club to join Tottenham in March.

But 41 year old Gray ended last season in charge and is to keep his job as the club move to a new 35,000 seat stadium.

"I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Stuart Gray as manager of Southampton

Gray is a former midfielder with Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Southampton and beat champions Manchester United to earn his first win in the Premiership.
