Bolton Wanderers hope to land £30 million from life in the Premiership next season after their play-off win in Cardiff over Preston North End.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce said he dreamed of leading his team in the top division and they easily beat Preston 3-0 to start coutning the cash from new television deals in the Premeirship next season.
Bolton have been promoted three times in the past six years but were relegated in 1996 and 1998 afer only one year in the Premiership.
They finished nine points ahead of Preston in the ordinary league season and deserved their win today.
A 16th minute cross shot from Gareth Farrelly was all they had to show for long domination of the first half possession but Preston improved in the second session with goalkeeper Matt Clarke saving very well from a cross shot by Preston striker David Healy.
As the players tired Bolton hit two quicxk goals to seal their place among the elite.
Substitute Michael Ricketts scored his 24th goal of the season after rounding the goalkeeper for an assured left-foot finish in the 87th minute and Riocardo Gardner beat two weak challenges on a run two minutes later to bury shot from the left wing.
