FC Barcelona look to Lippi

FC Barcelona are now considering former Juventus coach Marcello Lippi for next season.

The attempt to bring Hector Cuper from Valencia is now dead after the Argentine accepted an offer from Inter to move to Italy for next season so former Inter coach Lippi is now in the frame to replace Carlos Rexach at the camp Nou.

Rexach has only been in charge for five weeks but saw his side lose 1-0 to Oviedo at home on Sunday meaning Champions league qualification for next season is now unlikely..

Barca officials intend to meet Lippi this week.
