Glasgow Rangers manager Dick Advocaat says he is staying at the club to see out the rest of his contract.
But that deal ends in June next year and Advocaat is wanted back by the Dutch FA after Holland coach Louis Van Gaal's resignation last night.
Advocaat is a former Holland coach and took the team to the 1994 World Cup finals.
His Rangers team lost 2-1 to city rivals Celtic on Sunday and Advocaat was involved in a shoving match with his right back Michael Ball as the player was substituted in the 73rd minute of the defeat which gave Celtic a 10 point lead in the title race.
Ball was fined £10,000 yesterday by the Scottish club.
But Advocaat is looking beyond next week's UEFA Cup tie in Paris with PSG which stands at 0-0 after the first leg.
"The only thing I want to say is that I will definitely stay until June. I will say whether I will stay beyond that in December."
"At December 18th or maybe earlier or later. "
"I feel we have come out with the answers because the Press is now hotter and hotter with their questions about my future," said Advocaat.
"The Holland job has no bearing on it. None at all. We want to delay it a little bit and we have a reason for that. There is a good reason not to do it now and it is not because we want to tell the shareholders first."
