West Ham striker Frederic Kanoute says he is not moving to Liverpool.
The young French forward was linked with a move to Liverpool when the Premiership leaders came close to selling striker Robbie Fowler to Chelsea earlier this year.
That deal fell through but Fowler has agreed to move to Leeds United prompting speculation that Kanoute was now a target for Liverpool after they bank the £11 million fee for their England star.
But the West Ham player rules this out of the club's web site today:
“The only thing I want to do is achieve at West Ham because I am part of this club and that is all I am thinking of. There is not a problem. I have said that I am happy here."
Internazionale striker Hakan Sukur interested Liverpool in the summer and could now be a target with Fiorentina's Portuguese international Nuno Gomes still the club's first choice to join their squad.
