FIFA have agreed to allow referees to carry advertising on their shirts for the first time.
FIFA General Secretary Michel Zen-Ruffinen said the FIFA executive committee passed advertisements certain products subject to conditions on their shirt sleeves.
Tobacco products, alcohol or casinos or any racist or "immoral" material is bared from the 200 centimetre squares on the shirt sleeves.
FIFA will have approval on al contracts signed by federations with cash generated to be used for the development of refereeing.
Match payments for officials could now increase if shirt advertising deals can be done in the top leagues.
