Spanish first division side Villarreal announced they had signed Spanish midfielder Javier Farinos on loan from Inter Milan until the end of the season.
Farinos will join his new teammates for training on Tuesday providing he passes a medical, said Villarreal general manager Jose Manuel Llaneza.
The 24-year-old said he was willing to take a pay cut in order to relaunch his career after failing to break into the Inter first team following his 18 million euro (dollar) move from Valencia in 2000.
Farinos had also been approached by Valencia, who wanted to buy him back outright, and second division highflyers Levante.
