PSV Eindhoven manager Guus Hiddink said he had not received a bid from Chelsea for midfielder Mark van Bommel.
The Dutch international said he is a target for Blues as billionaire owner Roman Abramovich continues his spending spree at Stamford Bridge.
But Hiddink, who is keen to keep his captain, said he is yet to receive an offer for van Bommel.
"Concerning van Bommel, no one at this moment has directed themselves to the club. It's just speculation at the moment," he told Sky Sports News.
"He's an important player. I love to have him in my team."
Hiddink said he is eager to sign Giovanni van Bronckhorst from Arsenal and urged the Dutch international to move for first-team football.
"I'm looking at the left side for one more player," he said. "I know him from the Dutch national side and from Feyenoord. He can play in several players.
"I'm interested, but I know he's playing for a big club. I would say to him, 'don't sit on the bench for a whole season and then play 20 minutes'. I'm not speaking as a manager, I'm speaking as a player. I loved playing."
