Paraguayan international goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert is considering a move to a top Costa Rican club.
"I've received an offer from a major Costa Rican team," said the 37-year-old old, who skippered Paraguay in the last two World Cup finals, but lost 2-1 in a friendly to Costa Rica on Saturday night.
According to reports Chilavert is being targeted by Deportivo Saprissa, which was recently purchased by Mexican businessman Jorge Vergara, who wants to turn it into the top club in central American.
Chilavert had spent two seasons at Strasbourg in the French league where he scored the winning penalty in the 2001 French Cup final but was sacked on September 19 for disciplinary problems.
Chilavert is claiming unfair dismissal and wants 4.4 million dollars in compensation.
He reportedly had offers from Mexican and Uruguayan outfits but elected for a return home.
