Chelsea farewell for Morris and De Goey

First Published: May 29, 2003

English Premiership side Chelsea told midfielder Jody Morris and veteran Dutch goalkeeper Ed de Goey that they have no future at the club.

Morris, who joined the Stamford Bridge outfit as a youngster, played 173 first-team games with nine goals and has been linked with a move to Tottenham or Blackburn.

De Goey, 36, joined the Londoners from Feyenoord six years ago but has failed to dislodge Carlo Cudicini as the club's top keeper and played just three times last season.
