Murphy injury blow for Liverpool

Danny Murphy has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks after injuring ankle ligaments following a late tackle by Kevin Campbell in a reserve match against Everton.

The midfielder has been ruled out for up to three to four weeks, Liverpool said on their website Tuesday.

The injury comes as a major blow to manager Gerard Houllier ahead of Saturday's English Premiership match with Arsenal, as Murphy had been in excellent form.

Murphy is also out of England's vital European Championship qualifier in Turkey.
