A fan was stabbed and left fighting for his life after crowd trouble marred the UEFA Cup tie between Ferencvaros and Millwall here which spelled the end of FA Cup finalist Millwall's European dream.
Over 3,000 Millwall fans travelled over for the game according to police with scuffles breaking out in and around the stadium resulting in a handful of arrests.
Riot police were called to break up running battles in Budapest an hour before the game.

On the pitch, Ferencvaros produced a superb first half performance to beat the Londoners 3-1 to go through to the second round of Europe's second club competition 4-2 on aggregate.
Goals from Denes Rosa, Sorin Botis and Robert Vagner ended Millwall's unlikely European campaign with the visitor's player-manager Dennis Wise getting a consolation goal.
Ferencvaros took the lead after Vagner crossed from the left to Rosa who headed the ball past Graham Stack in the 26th minute.
The hosts all but sealed the tie four minutes later when defender Botis' header hit the crossbar and was adjudged to have crossed the line.
