England striker Wayne Rooney was set for a return to Everton's Goodison Park for the first time since joining FA Cup holders Manchester United after the sides were drawn together in the fifth round of this season's competition.

Curiously, the 19-year-old forward could earn his old side a windfall by helping knock them out of the competition.

That is because Everton stand to receive an extra 150,000 pounds should United win the FA Cup - one of the additional payments attached to Rooney's already huge transfer fee that could yet take the total cost of his move up to the 30-million-pound mark.

United are currently third in the table, six points ahead of fourth-placed Everton.

Both clubs have enjoyed FA Cup final wins over the other, United triumphant in 1985 - when they won with 10 men after Kevin Moran became the first man to be sent-off in a Cup final - and Everton in 1995 thanks to Paul Rideout's goal.

In other ties, Newcastle were handed the task of derailing Chelsea's bid for an unprecedented four major trophies in one season.

Newcastle have been rocked by the unrest surrounding striker Craig Bellamy's bust-up with manager Graeme Souness and when they last met, in the Premier League in December, Chelsea thrashed United 4-0 to add to their League Cup fourth round win over the Magpies a month earlier.

Championship side Burnley, who knocked Liverpool out of the Cup at the third round stage, are at home to Blackburn Rovers in what is sure to be an eagerly-contested Lancashire derby.

Nottingham Forest manager Gary Megson, effectively sacked by Premiership strugglers West Brom earlier this season, could return to the Hawthorns if his old club get past Tottenham in a fourth round replay.

Arsenal, second in the Premiership and who won the last of their nine FA Cups in 2003, will have Championship opposition in the shape of West Ham or Sheffield United.

Charlton, who just did enough to beat League Two leaders Yeovil 3-2 in the fourth round, have been rewarded with a home draw against Championship side Leicester.

Southampton, losing finalists in 2003, will fancy their chances of making the last eight this season when, following their stoppage time 2-1 win over arch-rivals Portsmouth last weekend, they were drawn at home to Brentford or Hartlepool, both of League One.

Bolton, given a tough workout by Oldham, will welcome either Championship side Derby or Premiership rivals Fulham to the Reebok Stadium.

The fifth round ties will take place on the weekend of February 19-20 with fourth round replays scheduled for Saturday, February 12.
