European football's governing body said it had agreed to a request from the FIGC that they extend the deadline for providing the final list of Italian teams pending an appeal into the match-fixing scandal that has rocked Serie A.

Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio were all thrown out of European competition next season for their part in the scandal, and face being replaced by other Italian clubs in the Champions League and UEFA Cup.

Juventus, Fiorentina and Lazio were also relegated to Serie B and given points deductions.

"After having carefully analysed the request, UEFA's Emergency Panel decided to grant the requested extraordinary extension of the deadline," UEFA said in a statement. "The revised deadline is therefore Wednesday July 26 2006."

The list of Italian clubs is required by UEFA to complete the preparations and seedings for Friday's draws in Nyon for the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round and UEFA Cup second qualifying round.

The outcome of Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio's appeal into their punishments over the scandal are expected to be released in Rome later Tuesday.
