Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy, who helped the US women capture two Olympic titles and two World Cup crowns, have been elected to the US Soccer Hall of Fame, the honor shrine announced.

Hamm was named on 137 of 141 ballots and Foudy was selected on 118 ballots, each achieving the 80 percent needed for selection.

Both will be inducted on August 26 at ceremonies here. Votes were cast by select coaches, administrators, reporters and Hall of Fame members.

Foudy, a midfielder, scored 45 goals in 271 caps and helped form the Women's United Soccer Association, playing three years in the league before it folded.
