Chelsea defender John Terry lies unconscious after he was accidentally kicked in the head by Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby during the League Cup final on February 25. Chelsea confirmed Thursday that skipper John Terry has had a second brain scan after being knocked unconscious in the League Cup final -- but insisted there was no cause for concern over the defender.

Terry had to go to hospital during Sunday's win over Arsenal after being caught accidentally by Abou Diaby. He subsequently revealed that he had no memory of most of the match but was able to join his team-mates in celebrations.

Chelsea sent the 26-year-old for a follow-up scan on Wednesday.

A statement from the champions read: "We stress that the scan was entirely routine and normal procedure for an injury of this type and raised no cause for concern."

According to media reports, Terry has suffered from unusual fatigue, headaches and dizziness since the accident and is to see a consultant neurologist before any decision is taken on whether he is ready to return to action.

Chelsea face Portsmouth in the Premiership on Saturday and FC Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday.
