Argentine giants River Plate will not be able to play at their home ground of Monumental Stadium for two home matches after fan violence there earlier this month.

It was the second such penalty imposed by the Argentinian interior ministry on River Plate this season after a five-match ban imposed in February for similar reasons.

The latest ban comes after clashes inside and outside the stadium following River Plate's May 6 draw with Independiente that left four seriously wounded, including one minor hit by bullets.
