Real Madrid's new coach Bernd Schuster admitted on Wednesday he is feeling the pressure as the European giants continue their Spainsh title defence in Germany.

Former West German international Schuster, 47, was appointed head coach in July and admits his side is not yet up to scratch having worked with the players for the last ten days and has taken the Spaniards to the west of Germany for a training camp.

An experimental Real side were beaten 3-0 by Bundesliga outfit Hanover 96 here on Tuesday night and Schuster faced a barrage of questions from Spanish journalists about his side's heavy defeat.

"It is already clear to me that the pressure is on at Real to win all our games, even the pre-season friendlies," Schuster told German agency SID.

"We are missing some strength at the moment, but we have work to do and in a few weeks we will be playing completely differently."

Schuster is also chasing the signature of Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka and the 25-year-old has been valued at 55 million euros by his club AC Milan, with the Champions League winners not keen to let their man go.

"We really want Kaka and we will do whatever it takes to get him," said Schuster.

"I am sure he will play for Real, but maybe not for another year, we will have to wait and see."

Real are courting Chelsea's striker Arjen Robben and Schuster is confident the Dutchman will wear the famous white shirt when the new Spanish season begins at the end of August when Athletico Madrid visit the Bernabeu.

"It looks good, I am confident we will get him here," said Schuster.
