River Plate's Fernando Daniel Belluschi (front) is held back by Reading's Ivar Ingimarsson during an exhibition match in 2007. Greek champions Olympiakos have signed Belluschi on a four-and-a-half year contract.
Greek champions Olympiakos announced Tuesday they had signed Argentine club River Plate's attacking midfielder Fernando Daniel Belluschi on a four-and-a-half year contract.
No financial details of the transfer were revealed by the club but local press reports the Argentine would be receiving 400,000 euros for the second half of this season and 1.2 million euros for each full season after that.
"It is a dream for every Argentine football player to continue his career in Europe. I want to help my team win the championship," Belluschi said.
The 24-year-old Belluschi arrived at River Plate in 2006 from Newell's Old Boys where he joined in 2002.
