Denmark scored twice in the second half to find a deserved win against the Faroe Islands in foggy Torshavn.
Visibility was low at the island venue but new coaching team Morten Olsen and Michael Laudrup saw Denmark adapt well to the conditions in the second half after a poor display in the first session.
Jan Heintze set up Ebbe Sand for a power header in the 56th minute and two minutes later Brain Steen Nielsen whipped a free kick into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
Olsen and Laudrup were facing compatriot Allan Simonsen who is now coaching the Faroes team. Both teams face a hard start to their World Cup qualifying campaign next month.
Former European Footballer of the Year Simonson takes his team to Slovenia while Denmark visit Iceland.
