Hertha Berlin looked set for a draw in Prague when Sparta found a winner in the last thirty seconds of normal time.

The Bundesliga side had come to defend and play on the break if they could but had created only one real chance in the second half when Alex Alves went clear but missed from close range after he connected with a low cross.

Milan Fukal changed the game with a long range effort from outside the penalty area that soared against the post and rebounded into the net to keep the Czech side in contention for the last eight.
