Bayern Munich came from behind to draw at Rosenborg but the the Norwegian club also claimed a place in the UEFA Cup.

It needed a late flurry by Bayern to avoid defeat and substitute Jens Jeremies was on hand to drive in a rebound which came off goalkeeper Arni Arason into his path who spoiled a good performance after making excellent saves from Carsten Jancker from two close range efforts.

Striker Frode Johnsen put Rosenborg into the lead in the 27th minuite with a header and put his side into the UEFA Cup despite the late revival by Bayern.
