Denmark 2 Germany 1

Two Dennis Rommedahl goals handed Germany coach Rudi Voller his first defeat in this Copenhagen friendly.

Voller took temporary charge in July and was confirmed in the job last week on a two year contract but his good record was undone by PSV Eindhoven star Rommedahl.

This repeat of the Euro 92 final in Stockholm saw the same result and the Danes' better passing a movement gave them the advantage in a bright first half.

Rommedahl was able to get free of the defence on a regular basis and he cashed in on 56 minutes when Thomas Gravesen drew a long pass into the striker's path and he carried the ball forward and placed a shot wide of Oliver Kahn in an excellent finish.

Ten minutes later he scored his second when he reached a Marc Nygaard cross to sink a header into the net from close in.

A Mehmet Scholl free kick curled into the net in the 81st minute for Germany's consolation but there was no revival and they were well beaten.
