First Published: Oct 18, 2000

Deportivo la Coruna dominated against Juventus but the Italian team held on for a draw.

Poor finishing from the Liga champions meant the Spanish side failed to cash in on the suspension of Zinedine Zidane but Juventus actually took an early lead.

In the tenth minute a volley from central defender Mark Iuliano was deflected out of the goalmouth straight to Filippo Inzaghi who blasted in a shot.

Deportivo came right back into the match seconds later when Victor capitalised on an error by goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar who deflect a Turu Flores shot which Victor drove into the net.

Victor side- ooted wide after a through pass by Djalminha and the Brazilian midfielder came close himself in the second half with a rising shot from 30 metres. Diego Tristan was also too high with an injury time effort as Juventus concentrating on gaining a point after Deportivo had equalised.
