Celta Vigo were frustrated by excellent VfB Stuttgart defending but are now well placed to reach the last eight of the UEFA Cup.

Poor league form and internal feuds have dogged Celta all season and saw German goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand produce a great save in the 81st minute to beat out Fernando Caceres header. He also got the better of Tomas Alberto in a one-on-one in the dying seconds as the Bundesliga side held out for a draw.
