Deportivo La Coruna are now back in Champions League contention after a 2-0 win over group B leaders Galatasary.
The Spanish team failed to make the most of early possession with Djalminha and Victor both missing good chances in front of goal by sending shots wide but just before half time they were put into the lead by these two stars.
Djaminha created the chance by driving hard and low across goalkeeper Taffarel and the shot took a deflection which killed its pace and spun it to Victor at the far post to stab the ball in.
Any chance of a Gala fight back was ended in the 58th minute when Vedat Inceefe was red carded for his second bookable offence after he cut down Victor.
Deportivo were encouraged to press forward and Djalminha converted a 73rd minute penalty after a hand ball offence from Ahmet Yildirim.
