Ecuador hammered Venezuela 4-0 and could now reach the quarter finals of the Copa America.

Venezuela hit the post in Barranquilla after only seven minutes with a snap shot from Miguel Mea Vitali but after that scare Ecuador took over.

Agustin Delgado hit two good goals with low drives and close range finishes from Angel Fernandez and Edison Mendez won the match easily in the end and handed Venezuela their third defeat of the Copa series.

Ecuador will know tomorrow if they progress as one of two best-placed third teams.
