Juventus stars Filippo Inzaghi and Alessandro Del Piero each scored twice to beat Lithuania in Trieste.

AS Roma captain Francesco Totti set up Inzaghi for the first goal in the 17th minute after Lithuania almost scored but for Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon saving at the feet of striker Robertas Poskus in the fourth minute.

Totti chipped the ball through for Inzaghi to control on his thigh and hit a cross shot into the net with his next stride.

Del Piero was free and clear in front of goal to head in a Totti free kick in the 49th minute and Totti again created for Del Piero to bear down on goal but his shot was saved only to rebound to Inzaghi to side foot the ball in.

Inzaghi was replaced by Vincenzo Montella and he set up the final goal for Del Piero by weaving and skipping past three defenders on the right hand side to pull back from the by-line for Del Piero to chip in from close range.

Italy, undefeated in their group, have 13 points from five matches, seven more than second place Hungary.
